See your rate of ascent/descent during a single-gas, multiple-gas or closed-circuit rebreather dive. Maintain a controlled rate of ascent or descent during a dive to minimize the risk of decompression sickness.
The color of the ascent/descent bar on the side of the dive computer will let you know if you are ascending/descending at a controlled rate and if you need to slow down.
> Green: Good. Ascent/descent is less than 7.9 meters (26’) per min.
> Yellow: Moderately high. Ascent/descent is between 7.9 to 10.1 meters (26 to 33’) per min.
> Red: Too high. Ascent/descent is greater than 10.1 meters (33’) per min.
